Niketa Lodge Mares

Our mares are the foundation of our breeding program, and have been carefully selected for their temperament, versatility, trainability and soundness. Each is treated with the special care and attention they deserve, and in return they reward us with excellent results in every field.

Magic Sun Dancer

Darling Sun Prince x Koolmundoola Magic Lass

Reg AAA58476, Sportaloosa 116, EFA 2083596

Bay leopard mare, 15.3hh, born 1992. Nevada is one in a million - a versatile riding horse, just as happy in the show ring, at an ODE, dressage or showjumping competition, trail riding through the bush, rounding up stock, even teaching people to ride! She has an older foundation bloodline not seen often these days, and will hopefully continue to produce winning horses. She comes from a long line of colour-producers on both sides of her pedigree, including Unaka Sun, Candy Spot Kid and Nevada Little Joe. She also has a thoroughbred ancestor in Tauloch, making her 1/8 thoroughbred and the ideal sport horse.

Runner-up AAA High Point Performance Horse NSW/ACT 2007/08.

AAA Recognition Awards in both Showjumping and Dressage (2009).

Nevada delivered a wonderful chestnut colt (by Bar Vee Mytee Spectacular), on September 21st, 2010. She competed in dressage whilst in foal (see last pic), showing what a champion she really is. See foals page!

Yallawa Fashion Princess

WJ Beyond the Stars x Bar Vee Montoyas Dream

Reg AAA60396, Sportaloosa 117

Chestnut/red dun leopard mare, 14.2hh, born 2004. Elle is extremely well-bred, along the famous "Dream" lines (Beyond Our Dreams, Mega Dream, Dreamfinder etc). She, like her mother, will hopefully produce foals with excellent colour and also pass on her fantastic temperament. She has had excellent results in the show ring and dressage arena (see achievements page), including 4th place AAA High Point Performance Horse NSW/ACT. She has just returned to ridden work, and is doing well, including commencing jumping work. Elle will remain empty this year to continue her ridden career.

AAA Recognition Award in Dressage (2010).

Yallawa Caramel Kisses

Sirrahvale Rock on Arny x BP Rockn Roxette

Reg AAA-AB60492, BHA N0713SB, Sportaloosa 118

Solid buckskin with characteristics, born 2005. Honey is approx 15.1hh. Her striking colour and movement should produce the results in any field, and hopefully she will pass these on to her foals. Honey's bloodlines include a double cross to the legendary Brother Dier, and she is a grand-daughter of champion stallion Rock-A-Son. Honey is presently being broken to saddle, so stay tuned for her progress! She is expected to be booked to Yallawa's super sire, The Test of Time (imp) for a 2012 foal.

Pictured below in paddock condition, thanks to Yallawa Appaloosas for the last two photos.
